Sightseeing tour of Oporto will include the famous bridges of D. Luís I and Arrábida, the Cathedral (stop to
see this ancient XII century granite construction), Santa Clara renaissance church, Carmo church, Saint
Francis church (stop to admire in the interior a magnificent work in gilt wood work), Clérigos tower (stop for
a photo of this symbol of Oporto, 78 meters high), Aliados avenue, Batalha square, Liberty square, Oporto
town hall, Council palace, Santa Catarina shopping street, Porto Stock Exchange Building (stop and free
time to see the XIX century rooms of this palace), Ribeira quarter (stop for a walk through the narrow and
most picturesque quarter of Oporto, with granite dark houses embellished with lively colours, iron balconies
with flowers and all the local atmosphere), Bolhão market (enjoy this colourful market where one can buy
practically anything), Boavista and Miragaia sections, Foz (mouth of Douro river) and Port Wine Cellars for
a visit and taste of the famous Port wine.
This tour will have a free stop for lunch in a typical restaurant by Douro river, to taste the well-known Oporto
gastronomy and you can take advantage to take a 50 minutes mini cruise on Douro river.
